Larry Fitzgerald Wife And Kids
With the Arizona Cardinals’ season officially over after an 18-7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, the speculation officially begins about the future of legendary receiver Larry Fitzgerald.
He did not play in the season finale, out with a groin injury and now it is time to wonder whether he has played in his final NFL game.
After the game, defensive line coach Brentson Buckner tweeted what appeared to be breaking the news of Fitzgerald’s retirement.
Fitzgerald has said nothing and typically takes a few weeks to make his decision.
Buckner later clarified the tweet, saying he intended to say if it his final ride, then it is goodbye.
This isn’t the first time a tweet after the season has fueled speculation. His own father has done it.
It wouldn’t be surprising if he retired. His role in the offense was decreased. He had his lowest production in his career with 54 receptions. He played through a groin injury in Week 16 and missed Week 17. He contracted COVID-19 and missed two games.
If it is the end of his illustrious career, then it is a shame the Cardinals couldn’t make it to the postseason.
